Kickstart Your Recovery The Road Less Traveled to Freedom from Addiction

Kickstart Your Recovery

Addiction is a cruel and subtle disease that robs its victims of so much. Those suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction are often baffled by its effects on their lives and the devastation that can be wrought in such a short period. Loved ones feel helpless and hopeless as they are forced to stand by and watch as someone they care about erodes before their eyes, clear that they cannot stop drinking or using drugs.
Luckily, many people are able to reach some sort of “bottom,” or a jumping off place, where they are finally willing and able to ask for help and begin the process of getting sober. Kickstart Your Recovery , now in its 3rd Edition, offers a powerful message to those who are looking for a way out from an endless cycle of pain and loss and for tools to avoid relapse.

Principles of Spiritual Growth

Principles of Spiritual Growth

A friend once handed me a copy of a book entitled The Green Letters, written by Miles J. Stanford. After reading the first few pages, I knew I had something in my hand that was extraordinary. Day by day during my devotional time I read at least one section and found the book to contain one of the most practical approaches to the various areas of my spiritual life that I have ever read. I asked others to read it, and they confirmed my impressions. The various parts of the book were originally prepared as short letters and were sent to a number of interested friends. They were then compiled into the book which was known as The Green Letters, but in order to make this new printing meaningful to a new audience, the title has been changed to Principles of Spiritual Growth. We are thankful for permission from the author to publish this book for the benefit of a larger group of friends. Set forth in this book are basic principles pertaining to the Christian’s spiritual exercises.

Sex Addicts Anonymous

Sex Addicts Anonymous

The basic text of the SAA fellowship, Sex Addicts Anonymous explains sex addiction from the SAA perspective and demonstrates, through examples, how sex addiction worsens over time. It describes the personal powerlessness and unmanageability of sex addiction, and the damage to personal relationships, livelihood, and physical health that is often caused by addictive behavior.

Sex Addicts Anonymous conveys a vision of hope for the addict through a recovery program based on the time-honored Twelve Steps that were initially proposed for alcoholics. A separate section of the book offers a variety of personal stories from individual members of the fellowship to illustrate the challenges and the hope of recovery.

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous-Basic Txt

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition oriented fellowship based on the model pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. The only qualification for S.L.A.A. membership is a desire to stop living out a pattern of sex and love addiction.

Addict at the Cross-A Christian 9 Step Program

Addict at the Cross

Addicts at the Cross takes a bold, unabashed stance in stating that the Bible is true: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). The 9 steps will walk students to the cross where Christ sets the captives free. These steps aren’t magic, but a willing and determined pursuit of freedom through them will guide the student to a place where overcoming addiction is possible.

Society tells us poverty, lack of education, and unemployment are the underlying causes of addiction. Though strong families and education are vital supports for a stable society as they help a person discover how to act and what to do, the roots of addiction develop and grow from “who” the person is. This 9 step study is designed to dredge up the soil of the addict’s heart and uproot the underlying causes of addiction, thereby genuinely setting the addict free.

The Mindful Path to Addiction Recovery

The Mindful Path to Addiction Recovery

Mindfulness, the quality of attention that combines full awareness with acceptance of each moment, just as it is, is gaining broad acceptance among mental health professionals as an adjunct to treatment. Because at the heart of addiction is the fear of painful emotional states, addicts compulsively seek drugs and alcohol to avoid or escape emotional pain. Mindfulness, on the other hand, helps us develop greater acceptance and ease with life’s challenges, as well as greater self-compassion.
